| Until July 22nd you are invited for an exhibition “Eros in Modern Art” at the BA-CA Kunstforum. The exhibition covers one of the most intriguing topics in modern art – love and eroticism. About 200 works (dating from the end of the nineteenth century to present days) will demonstrate what forms eroticism may take – from tenderness and love to passion and lust, desire, union, secret longings, fantasy, dream and the subconscious. But that does not mean that the exhibition is fully focused on portrayal of bodies and acts of love. Its theme is a lot deeper, as love does not mean something physical only. Love is the thing that gives birth to new life, it is the thing that keeps the world in motion – this is the idea that artists tried to express in their works. |
