| A visit to Vienna wouldn’t be a complete one if you don’t manage to visit one of its renowned balls. A balls is not only a good way to brush up your waltz techniques and spend your evening in a good company, dressed in beautiful clothes, but is also a good way to feel the “Vienna atmosphere”. There are lots of annual balls here to choose from, but probably one of the most stunning and beautiful ones is the "Wiener Ärzteball" (The Practitioners' Ball) which takes place on January 27th. The balls is famous for its elaborate decorations, but mind that there is a strict dressing code that you have to follow. For instance, ladies have to wear floor-length evening dresses while gentlemen are to be dressed in black tailcoats with decoration, black tuxedos or uniforms. The ball takes place at the Vienna's Hofburg and opens at 09:30 pm. |
