Marc Chagall – Masterpieces 1908-1922 exhibition |

| One of the current exhibitions that is on show in Vienna these days is the “Marc Chagall – Masterpieces 1908-1922” in BA-CA Kunstforum. This is the result of one of the largest projects that is opened up to February, 18th. Opened in November, it has already attracted a great number of viewers willing to see more than 100 artist’s masterpieces that represent his “Russian Years”. Those are the rarely shown paintings taken from the Tretjakow gallery in Moscow as well as the Russian National Museum in St. Petersburg and some loans from the Guggenheim Museum, the MOMA in New York and the Centre George Pompidou in Paris. Various kinds of objects, including the artist’s saloon, decorations, objects of art, his furniture and all the other types of things that surrounded him during his life will be on display, whereas the very highlight of the exhibition is definitely the unique murals produced for the Moscow Jewish Theater in 1920. |
