Mozart and the Weber Family at MUSEUMSQUARTIER, Hall E |
 |
| From August 28 till September 21, 2006 watch the so-called “black comedy musical” at the Hall E in MuseumsQuartier. The script of the musical is written by Felix Mitterer, one of the most important contemporary Austrian authors, and Martyn Jacques, head of the British cult band the Tiger Lillies, and the musical itself is all about the relation of famous composer Mozart and the Weber Family, which he got familiar to in 1778 in Mannheim. Since this time, the "Weberischen" (the Weber Family) became an important part of his life, as Constanze Weber became his wife, while Cäcilia (Cilly) Weber and the rest of her daughters (Josepha, Aloysia, and Sophie) were always near him, admired him, flirted with him, sang his compositions, ridiculed him, and got money out of him again and again. By the way, you will not see Mozart himself in the musical, but only his corpse. |
