Carnuntum dancing: The big Roman Music Festival |
 |
| Do you like to trace historic routes? If so, one event we advise you to visit is a “Carnuntum dancing: The big Roman Music Festival” held September 1st at the Carnuntum archaeology park. The park stands on the place where in the year 6 AD, Tiberius, the Roman emperor, founded a fortified winter camp which later became a city on the Danube shore. A visit to the Carnuntum is your chance to observe Roman buildings recreated down to the last detail, hear historic narratives, and take part in varied celebrations. Note that what you see at the park now is just the beginning – the whole site is planned to have been restored by 2011. |
